This post is dedicated to my son who is both an inspiration for achieving new heights and my best buddy. At the time of this endeavor, he was six years old.
I had been to Zambia once before on a mission trip to work with orphan boys. That experience was phenomenal, and I knew that I was not done when I came home. When I walked in the door, my wife immediately said, “You’re going back aren’t you?” Of course I said yes.
A return trip to Zambia would prove to be extra special. On this second endeavor, I was taking my six-year-old son, Grant, with me. This was a father son experience that was amazing; an opportunity to share and serve with my son that words cannot describe.
Taking your six your old son to Zambia, Africa is one way to get grandparents on their knees praying. There was never any question in my mind if he would be OK or how he would do on the trip – it always felt like the right thing to do.
